WHICH APPROACH WILL BE BEST FOR ME?
I will use whichever approach we think will suit you best. All counselling/psychotherapy aims to facilitate greater self understanding.
HOW CAN I GET THE MOST OUT OF MY THERAPY?
It will always work best if you can be honest with your therapist. I will always be ready to listen to how you are experiencing our work together.Many of us may want to change others but in counselling we focus on changing ourselves and this inevitably impacts on others.
I AM NOT SURE WHAT FINANCIAL COMMITMENT I CAN MAKE
We will discuss practicalities such as fees at the intial free session. I am willing to be flexible about fees where there would otherwise be genuine hardship.
HOW DO I DECIDE WHETHER A THERAPIST IS RIGHT FOR ME?
Check a therapist's qualifications and accrediting body, but also listen to your own intuition when you meet with a therapist. Many counsellors will give you a written contract so that you are clear about confidentiality, fees, cancellations and other terms and conditions.
